Slewi was Pete’s call sign in the military. There are certain parts of the world where he is known only by Slewi, here at home, his buddies call him Pete, and Peter by me and family.
When Pete and I had only been dating a few months, he threw a birthday party for me at my house which would be his first time meeting most of my friends and family. He made fajitas and this amazing Shrimp Cocktail that knocked everyone’s socks off. Well played, Peter, well played.
We enjoy Slewi’s Shrimp Coctail with fajitas but today we will enjoy a simple bowl served with crackers in observance of the fifth Friday in Lent where we fast and abstain from eating meat and are permitted to eat one full meal, as well as two smaller meals that together are not equal to a full meal.
-Cilantro, chopped
-4 Diced Tomatos
-1 large Diced Onion
-4 large Diced Avocado
-Clamato, to taste
-32 oz. Bloody Mary Mix
-Cubed Mozzarella
-Black Pepper
-Finely diced jalapeno (1)
-Valentina’s hot sauce to taste
-4 limes squeezed
-2 lbs. med to large cooked shrimp peeled, tails off
Combine, serve with crackers
